The summer trimester MMIM KM course has been condensed into nine weeks, in order to create a decent lecture-free period in early January. While this may be holiday-friendly, the downside is that the workload (especially preparation for classes) will be high in those weeks where there are classes on two consecutive days. To help you manage the reading workload, we will apply some KM principles!
You will belong to a group for the doing/writing up sharing readings and reviews. Each week, your group is required to write and post a brief summary (200 words) and review (50 words) of two of the recommended readings (articles or chapters) for that week. (In weeks where there are two classes, you should pick one reading relating to each class.) The article summary and review must be posted to this blog by 5p.m.on the Monday before the relevant class, to allow others to read and comment. You should assign relevant tags or descriptors to the article.Groups will also present the summaries in class.
This group exercise will count as 10% of the final mark
By doing this we should be able to generate a good set of article summaries per week - a knowledge investment! Engaging with the articles should also help you with ideas/themes for your individual blogs.
